Meet Harriet
Community Lead & Outdoor Psychotherapist
Harriet helps shape Nature Therapy Hub as the community voice for outdoor, walk-and-talk and nature-based therapists.
Why Nature Therapy Hub exists
Nature Therapy Hub exists to give outdoor and nature-based therapists a professional home: somewhere to manage practice tasks, discover learning, share resources and feel connected to a wider community.
Nature Therapy Hub exists because outdoor therapists often have to piece together tools, resources and support from systems designed for very different ways of working.
The aim is to create one calm professional home where practice management, learning, resources and community can sit together without losing sight of the care, judgement and responsibility involved in therapeutic work outdoors.
Philosophy
The Nature Therapy Hub community is built around thoughtful professional practice, respect for different therapeutic approaches, confidentiality, ongoing learning and safe outdoor work.
The community is shaped by respect for different therapeutic approaches, careful attention to confidentiality, and a belief that outdoor practice deserves thoughtful professional infrastructure.
Nature Therapy Hub does not try to prescribe one way of working. Instead, it supports therapists to practise reflectively, keep learning and make grounded decisions within their own professional responsibilities.
Story
Harriet brings a practice-informed perspective to the resources, values and community direction of Nature Therapy Hub. Her role is to help keep the platform grounded in the everyday realities of therapists who work with nature, movement and outdoor spaces.
Harriet helps hold the community voice of Nature Therapy Hub, bringing attention to the practical questions that arise when therapy moves into woodland, parks, coastlines, gardens and other outdoor spaces.
Her role is to keep the Hub grounded in the realities of outdoor practice: preparation, consent, weather, pacing, boundaries, safety, reflection and the need for a professional community that understands this work.
Favourite outdoor setting
Accessible woodland paths, riverside routes and quiet outdoor spaces that support reflection, grounding and careful therapeutic work.
The outdoor setting is never just a backdrop. Weather, terrain, light, sound, movement and the wider natural world can all influence the therapeutic experience.
Harriet's reflections on outdoor settings help keep the Hub connected to the sensory, relational and practical realities that therapists navigate when they work beyond four walls.
